In a time where families were home not knowing what life would be life one day from the next. I wanted to bring a little positivity and happiness to the City of Grand Forks BC, and also help our local food bank. It was so fun and easy, community members just set up a time with me to stop by. They came out onto their porch and I snapped a picture.

*Grizz is holding his own sign it says...Sit...Stay...Good Boy*
Isolation is hard when our grandchildren are three kilometres down the road from us. Terry keeps busy working on our new carriage house which we will be running a new Vacation Rental out of when completed. I keep busy trying new soup recipes, baking bread and working in support of the best group of Farmers’ Market vendors our community could ask for! Technology is wonderful to keep connected with family members throughout North America. We live in the strongest community we have every lived in. They came through the flood two years ago...we will come through this. Grizz is our comic relief...he keeps us laughing which in turn keeps us healthy.
Stay safe everyone!

Our lives have changed so much with covid 19.
We have gone from a household of 4, to a household of three (Curtis is isolating at work with a couple co workers as a solution for the “worst case”). As a result, I have stopped working to be home with the girls. The girls no longer go to school, or daycare or extra curricular activities. I’ve become a teacher (something I’ve never aspired to be), which by the way, is a drastically underpaid gig! We desperately miss our friends and family. This is what life looks like for us now, amidst this pandemic, but despite the losses we are extremely grateful. We have been given the gift of time together (sooo sooooo much time together). If this pandemic has taught us anything, it is that our time with our loved ones is precious and fragile, we need to make the most of it! We are also extremely grateful for ALL of the wonderful essential workers! We really appreciate everything you all are doing to keep the world running smoothly right now as the world works towards an end to this thing! So, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

"Darrell and Michelle along with their son Nick and his partner Stephanie are riding the wave of this physical distancing together. What started as a Christmas visit has now been extended due to this pandemic. We are enjoying our time together and keep busy with crafts, puzzles, games, walks and cooking. We feel very fortunate we are safe and well and are very thankful for all the essential service workers that go to work everyday for us."

Hi everyone! So far, all is fine here. Many of those long-procrastinated jobs are getting ticked off the list and the house is squeaky clean.
We take daily walks, mostly to burn off all the extra baking-calories and once the trails dry up we'll get out on the ATV. We're looking forward to warmer weather and tending to the yard.
We're very grateful to all the people who are still at work and keeping this town functioning, Thank you!

Our lives have definitely changed since covid 19 came around. To say it's been a roller-coaster ride is and understatement. In ways I wouldn't change it as we are doing more things as a family like spring cleaning, getting the yard set up with the kids outside stuff, playing games, movies, walks you name it...but then the other side...the downside...we haven't been able to see any of our other family members which some are very sick, all family holidays are on hold, our 4 year old doesn't understand why her friends can't come over or she can't go to school, and also we have a little unknown and fear going to work as we both are considered essential. All in all we are doing our best to stay positive, healthy, safe, and entertained 🙂 We will get through this and things will get better. Thank you to all that are following isolation rules and to all that are still having to work as they are essential. Stay safe, put a smile on your face and look at the positives together we can do this ❤

We would first and foremost like to express our thanks to the Health Care workers, and Police. We would also like to thank the grocery stores and Pharmacies for staying open and the restaurants for offering take out services. My favorite two words (take out)

I do hope everyone takes the advice of health authorities now; if they do, maybe we'll have a chance of some semblance of a normal summer

I snap a picture of some of the crew at The Board Room Cafe on what seemed like the only rainy miserable day we have had in a long time. But they were all great sports coming out to share there message and support the project, while I stood on the street.

Thank you for participating ❤️❤️
Any businesses who would like to take part just get in touch. I know a lot are closed right now and a few are open, just know we are all sending positive vibes to you. ❤️❤️
